Presentation on the S19 flood investigation report on Storm Darragh flooding on Rye tributaries

1.0       Purpose

1.1       On 22 December 2025 it was agreed by the Corporate Director - Environment and the Executive Member - Highways and Transportation that the Section 19 flood investigation report be approved and published on the Council’s website.

1.2       The Chair of the Thirsk and Malton Area Committee requested that officers attend the Area Committee to advise local Members of the actions and recommendations agreed in the report.

1.3       This was to ensure that local members were aware of the recommendations and any updates following the approval of the S19 report.

2.0       Attendance at the Area Committee

2.1       Meirion Jones, the Lead Local Flood Authority Team Leader and Heather Lagan, Senior Engineer, Flood Risk Management will present the actions and recommendations of the report

3.0	Recommendation
3.1	That the information be noted.
